Thai - Reffic @ Go Thai - Al Nahada
We were celebrating my cousins birthday and being a weekday with all of us working, we opted to have the birthday celebration at home with the family. Thai cuisine was the preference for dinner and Go Thai restaurant at Al Nahda, Dubai was where we ordered dinner from. Being a family of 11 members we had to make sure everyone had enough to eat.We had ordered food from this place earlier hence we were aware that the portions are quite generous.
Dishes ordered:
➡Mango salad: similar to a papaya salad with peanuts and prawns, this was the first time I have tried something like it, the flavor was great, more like a papaya salad with a twist!
➡Go Thai Delight Set: the chef’s recommended starter. A combination of Chicken wings, Chicken Satay sea with peanut sauce, food cake, prawn toast. I loved the peanut dip that was provided.
➡Chicken Green curry: A thick coconut based curry with a very generous amount of chicken pieces and the eggplant.the gravy was thick and tasty as it had adequate ingredients.
➡Massaman Beef: It was absolutely delicious, just couldn’t stop praising the dish, definitely recommended. very unique in taste, the curry was made with coconut milk, potatoes, and peanuts. This curry goes great with steamed rice. The leftover curry can be relished if you buy some roti !!!!! my Indian side speaking ☺
➡Chicken Tom Yum Fried noodles: Flat noodles with chicken, lemon grass, and mushroom. It tasted quite good this was one of the dishes that got over very quickly. The ingredients complemented each other well, we could have finished another portion easily.
➡Pad See Ew veg noodles: Just had a small bite, I saw that other family members were enjoying the dish but it was not as great as the other dishes. Guess that’s because the flavor of the meat or fish was missing.
➡Chicken Thai fried rice Combo: The fried rice went well with vegetables and chicken slices on the side, it has authentic Thai flavor and was undeniably appetizing, I made sure I emptied all the rice in the container.
➡Mango sticky rice for dessert: A typical Sweetened sticky rice with ripe mango and tasty coconut milk, the dessert was great, the order was 3 portions as they gave an additional portion as complimentary, it was absolutely delightful.
Overall it was one of the best Thai food experience, we absolutely relished the food and were totally satisfied.I love Thai food and can have it almost every day but my cousin, on the contrary, was a first-timer. He too loved the food and is now open to trying out more variants of Thai cuisine.
